Coat of Arms and Flag of Slatina

Coat of Arms of Slatina
On a blue field, three golden grain ears with leaves grow from a green three-peaked hill, over which lies a silver fess bearing three black lilies.

Flag of Slatina
The flag is divided vertically in a 1:1:1 ratio. In the middle blue stripe, a yellow upright grain ear with two leaves is depicted on a green three-peaked hill. In each of the two side white fields there is one black lily.

Explanation of the Symbols – The three black lilies on the silver fess are taken from the coat of arms of the noble family Kunaš of Machovice, who owned Slatina from 1691 to 1767. The Kunaš family, who built a small manor house in Slatina (demolished in the 19th century), left their mark on the village's history primarily by establishing a separate Jewish community, to which they granted permission in 1723 to found their own cemetery near the village. The existence of the Jewish community is recalled to this day not only by the cemetery but also by the former synagogue building situated in the centre of the village. The green three-peaked hill indicates the location of the village in the south-western spur of the Central Bohemian Uplands, and the three grain ears reflect the predominantly agricultural character of the municipality.
