Slatina Ponds

Renčín — Currently the largest Slatina pond, covering 2.3 ha, lies near the village on the road towards Dobrotice, by the former sand pit. It was established in the summer of 2007. It is fed by a stream from Slatina and from Dobrotice. Water flows from it into the lower-lying Kutil pond.

Nový — A pond covering 0.70 ha lies above the village below the Průmysl kamene Příbram quarry in the direction of Chanovice. In former times it was fed from small ponds lying above it (Podhradský, Hradský and Jordán). Jordán was the highest-lying 'sky' pond of this pond system, with an area of 0.25 ha. It was located at a place called 'na Hradcích' and water drained from it into the lower-lying Hradský pond. Hradský pond had an area of 0.05 ha and was located on the site of the present quarry. Podhradský pond was the lowest-lying 'sky' pond, which supplied water to Nový pond. It had an area of 0.20 ha and lay where the administrative building of Průmysl kamene Příbram now stands. Below Nový pond there was formerly the Sázka pod Novým pond, covering 0.05 ha. It lay beyond the village, to the right of the road to Chanovice.

Krůtovský (Krůťák) — Covering 0.18 ha, it lies to the left of the road to Kadov. It was named after the farmer Krůta to whom it once belonged. It is fed by surrounding fields. Water flows from it along the Mráčov stream.

Dubí —

Dudák — A small pond covering 0.13 ha. It is fed from Nový pond.

Slatinská dvorská sázka (Kandrovský) — Lies before the village in the direction of Čečelovice. It covers 0.15 ha. Water formerly drained from it into Slatinský velký pond, now into Stašín pond near Svéradice. Slatinský velký pond was located south-east of the village and received water from fields, marshes and the Slatina manorial ponds. Water drained from it through Kunáš pond to Stašín near Svéradice. It is mentioned as early as 1454. The pond had an area of 12.12 ha and was abolished in 1888. Its dam, which was levelled, is still visible at the place where a bridge has been built over an open ditch. Kunáš pond was built by the Kunaš family of Machovice in 1738. It was located below Slatinský velký pond, from which it also received water. It had an area of 1.58 ha and was abolished in 1876.
